Who we are

Learn with JP is operated by Learnwith. Learnwith is the data controller for the personal data described here, which means we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us at hello@learnwithjp.com.

What we collect and why

• Account data (name, email address, login credentials, optional phone number) — to create and secure your account and let you sign in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Learning data (lessons opened, quiz results, progress) — to show your progress and unlock the next lesson. Legal basis: contract performance.
• Interest and support messages (name, email, phone, what you wrote) — to reply to you and arrange live practice. Legal basis: contract performance or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
• Usage and device data (pages viewed, browser type, device identifiers, IP address, log data) — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Marketing preferences — to send updates if you ask for them. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Legal records — to meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Who we share data with

• Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email, and video conferencing providers that run the service on our behalf.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where necessary.
• Authorities — where we are required to by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep account and learning data for as long as your account is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, and billing records for as long as tax law requires (typically 6–7 years). After that we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email hello@learnwithjp.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you can also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database security — to protect your data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your progress; the site does not work properly without them. If we later add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and let you change your preferences at any time. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
